Version 1.31 1.32 applies display:none; to .youare <div> on the dashboard. The reasoning behind this move is the extensive user testing I conducted on myself — I had never touched that ‘Change Theme’ button since updating to 2.5., and the version of WordPress is visible in the footer of every administration section.
However, if you want to keep it, simply use Baltic Amber Themes & Schemes 1.3. If you would like to see this as an option (rather than by default), please leave a comment.

On a sidenote, I had a few problems with the SVN repo when some of the files seemed to be missing in 1.31 after the initial commit, so I reuploaded another “update”. Does it show 1.32 on your plugin list?
I also noticed what seems to be a bug. When as admin viewing/changing another user’s profile, you see your own color settings instead of his.
hi, Kim, thank you for the comment. Here are the answers to your questions: (1) The new color scheme feature in WordPress 2.5 is per user option and the Baltic Amber plugin utilizes that feature. Backend-wise scheme settings are impossible without adding extra functionality (and settings page) to this plugin. Per user settings also explain your second question.
